betch [beCH] – noun

 

After decades of being referred to as a bitch for not smiling at all times, not agreeing with everything, for setting limits, and not saying yes to everything.  Betch is the new term used by women controlling the narrative.

 

1. A woman who realizes her worth and demands that level of respect from those around her:  “That empowered betch got sick of being overlooked for promotions, so she started her own company.”

2. A warning sent to those who refuse to recognize a woman’s space: “You might want to stop catcalling me and move aside, or this betch is gonna introduce you to my taser!”

3. A woman who expects to be heard: “Mr. Vice President, I’m speaking.” @KamalaHarris
